この正月、

おかんが雑煮をつくってくれた。
お醤油味のダシのきいたおつゆに、
ぶり、はまぐり、うっぷりという海苔、かつお、ねぎ、
はらにしみるおいしさだった。

この一杯のなかにふるさとがあった。

「おもち何個たべるん？」

２個！
と私が言うと、母はうれしそうだった。

ダイエットのへったくれの言わず、
感謝して、はらからおいしく、
この一杯のお雑煮を食べること。

去年までの人生で、
そんな単純なことが私はなぜできなかったのだろう？

そして、2012年正月、
やっと私は、ほんとうにおいしいこの一杯の雑煮を、
はらからおいしいと思って、感謝して食べる、
という自由を得た。
